Tipperary Lead Ladies Inter County after Foursomes

With the foursomes completed the Tipperary team (Breda Lonergan, Frances Ryan, Margaret Webster, Mary Quinn, Bridget Shelley and Martha O’Brien) lead on a score of 172, in joint second Cork (Ann Daly, Vera McCarthy, Valerie O’Leary, Sharon Bowes, Eleanor Walsh and Siobhan Scannell) and Kildare (Bernie Dunne, Mairead O’Toole, Rose Kelly, Tara Dillon, Marian Byrne and Christine Byrne) on 174. Next in line come Offaly on 183, Dublin on 184, Louth 193, Waterford 196, Meath 199

With 18 holes singles remaining Tipperary are poised if they can return similar scores to their foursomes to win their first ever Ladies Inter County. However with Cork and Kildare only two shots behind both of these counties can still well expect to add another title to their hoard. All should be known by 2.45.
