Once again the PJ Bell proved to be the most exciting of competitions as it came down to the second and third last teams to decide the victors. Not even a single stroke was involved and Cunnigar (Paddy Noonan, Jacinta O’Mahony & Lorraine Troy) emerged victorious on a total of 64 1/3, in second place this year just like twelve months ago were Douglas/Ballinlough (Alf Hanrahan, Ger Hanrahan & Brian Downey) with a total of 65. The winners of the first session were Lakeside (Anthony Maher, Martin McCormack and Josie McCormack) with a score of 29 2/3, while the winners of the second session were Douglas (Denis O’Sullivan, John Ward, Grace Brohan) on 32 2/3.
