This weekend, all roads lead to Lucan Pitch & Putt Club as from Saturday to Monday, the 96 qualifiers for this years Ladies and Gents National Matchplay Championships battle it out for top honours.

The draw has been made and there are some mouthwatering matches in prospect in the first round. This is a Championship in which the form book often goes out the window as a player's hopes can be dashed by one ill-fated pitch or misread putt.
