Ladies Handicap Inter-Club Semi-Finals:
S/F 1: Cunnigar A vs Bellewstown
S/F 2: St. Bridget’s vs Riverdale

Cunnigar (A):

From:
Ringnasillogue, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford

History:
One of the most improved facilities in the country and reaped it’s rewards for incredible hard work and endeavour by being awarded 2015’s National Gent’s Strokeplay Championship. Definitely a club I would always associate with great development in addressing and servicing ladies Pitch and Putt.
Their history, in their words, can be found below:

Squad:
Captain: Mary O’Neill: Handicap: -10
Breda O’Donnell: -12
Cait Mulcahy: -14
Corinne McGee: -15
Stella Kinsella: -15
Lorraine Troy: -15

At the National Matchplay in Lucan, I received a telling off about some of my reports on Ladies Pitch and Putt, and that I shouldn’t take about people that I didn’t know. A fair comment, and for that reason, I’ll not try to pontificate about these Cunnigar ladies.
What I do know is that while this Cunnigar team might not beat a St Bridgets or a Portmarnock in a scratch game, they most definitely will give anyone a run for their money using the handicaps. This team is full of champions, be it National Junior Strokeplay, Munster Matchplay or National Seniors, so there is plenty of ability there.

Path to the Semi-finals:

Winners of Group A
Results:
Vs Riverdale: (W) 4-3
Vs Cunnigar B (W) 6-0
Vs Collins (W) 6-0
Vs Lakeside (W) 4-2

Prospects:
These girls are well used to being involved in Championships, and will be happy they’ve drawn Bellewstown first I’d imagine. Second favourites for the title, if they use the handicaps to their advantage
