With all the results in the winners are Vera McCarthy (Collins) Bridie Walsh (Claycastle) and Carol Mullally (Claycastle) who carded a superb score of 74 aided by an outstanding second 18 of 34 nett, in second place were Patsy Quinlan (Ringcommons), Deirdre Curran (Old County) and Jennifer McGreal (Old County) on 75 (on final 9), winners from section 1 were Lily Bulman (Claycastle), Mary Moroney (Kilshannig) and Breda Howell (Hillview) with 75 1/3, winners from section 2 were Mary Sherry (St. Bridget’s), Veronica Loughman (Ringcommons) and Irene Lynch (Ringcommons) on 75
All the competitors were loud in their praise for the condition of the course and the ladies who handled the catering came in for special mention for the quality of the food available.
