It is with great sadness that I report the passing of Jim Cleary, father of my dear friend James Cleary of Hillview.

Jim was an absolute gentleman and he battled his recent illness with great dignity and strength. Due to his incredible fitness, he managed to defy the Doctor's odds on a number of occasions over the past 6 months but unfortunately his time came last night.

Jim lived and breathed for his family and his GAA Club Clonmel Og and there was literally no job he wouldn't do for you. In November 2009 Jim was presented with his Laochra Gael from the then President Christy Cooney for his sterling work and commitment to Clonmel Og.

We will not see his likes again and all the players of Tipperary Pitch & Putt extend its deepest sympathies to James, his family and friends at this very tough time.
