Paddy Power Shield:
This iconic event in memory of our greatest patron was a great success, encouraged no doubt by the benign weather conditions we again had a splendid turnout on Sunday 30th October. After an exciting afternoon's play the winning team scraped home by the narrowest of margins, 1/3rd of a shot. The presentation of prizes took place immediately afterwards for which we were joined by Tom and Marcella representing the Power family and Club President Seamus O' Doherty. In his words of welcome to the Power family Seamus thanked them for their attendance and continuing generous sponsorship of the event, which is now firmly fixed in the Hilllview calendar. The winning teams were as follows:
Nett Winners- Breda Howell, Michael Kilkelly and Paul Sweeney.
Nett runners up- Paul Kinnane, Tim Shanley and Derek McGee.
Gross Winners- Evelyn Cahill, Con Lucey and Joe Hickey.
Finally thank you to all who helped make the day possible, the grounds staff, bar staff and of course to all the ladies who supplied and served a mountain of food after the presentations.
