The second Tipperary Nett Cup was played at Hillview last Saturday and Sunday. In what proved to be a very well supported competition, particularly by those from outside the County, the play over the two days was of a great standard.
Noel Clare (Majestic) was the leader in the Clubhouse when all cards were returned when he fired home a fantastic 85 and he took a one shot lead from John Martin (Tipp Hills) & John Hanley (Tipp Hills) who both returned a terrific total of 86. There were a number of players hot on their heels with the likes of Lorraine Troy (Cunnigar), Stephen O’Reilly (Hillview), Patrick Williams (Fermoy), Michael O’Brien (Lakeside) & Breda O’Donnell (Cunnigar) who were all just a few shots behind.
