Coláiste an Chraoibhín, win the All-Ireland Schools tournament for the second time, placing the Fermoy academy in outright second place on the all-time Roll of Honour behind St. Brendan’s College, Killarney.
Coláiste an Chraoibhín’s class of 2026 emulates their alumni from 2011, who also triumphed in Co. Tipperary, at Hillview.
Munster’s run of consecutive victories now stands at eleven.

After St. Kieran’s College Kilkenny’s performance at Lakeside, a Kilkenny school finished third for the first time.
The four-stroke margin enjoyed by Coláiste an Chraoibhín is exactly the same cushion achieved by winners Davis College, Mallow over St. Brendan’s Killarney at Lakeside in 2015.
Similarly, Patrician Secondary claimed second spot by four shots from St. Kieran’s, which matches the difference between 2015 runners-up St. Brendan’s Killarney and third-placed Carrigaline Community School at Lakeside.
The same school filled second and third places respectively in consecutive years for the first time ever. This was achieved by St. Kieran’s College, Kilkenny with exactly the same team (Jack, Harry and Aidan) in 2025 and 2026.
Coláiste an Chraoibhín move onto six podium finishes (two wins, two seconds and two thirds) edging further ahead of Davis College Mallow and St. Francis College, Rochestown.
St. Brendan's College, Killarney remain the most consistent school in the event’s history with eight podium finishes (four wins, two seconds and two thirds).
It was a seventh win in the tournament for a Co. Cork school.
Lakeside joins Hillview as a three-time host venue for the All Ireland Schools tournament final.
The 2026 winning, runner-up and third-place scores are respectively the highest of the three stagings at Lakeside.
NB – the tournament was not played in 2016, 2020 or 2021.
